Meet your Instructor

Mrs. Lacy is the founder of Jenni Marie Studios, a private music and creative arts studio serving students across Central Texas.

Her musical journey began in 2007 while studying flute at Temple College under renowned instructor Sheryl Goodnight. During her studies, she also received piano instruction from Anne Chamberlain and Dr. Ben Irom. She later earned her Bachelor of Music degree through Temple College and Texas A&M University–Central Texas, where she continued studying flute with Sheryl Goodnight and piano with Dr. Yeonjoo (Kate) Bae.

While in college, Mrs. Lacy began teaching flute lessons to friends and family, traveling to students’ homes and building a strong local student base through personalized instruction and encouragement. After spending several years working in Austin, she returned to Central Texas in 2018 and continued growing her passion for education through private lessons, public schools, and leadership roles within the community.

Today, Mrs. Lacy is fully dedicated to teaching flute, piano, and sewing lessons through Jenni Marie Studios. As a classically trained flutist and pianist, she primarily works with middle school, high school, and collegiate-level music students while also offering beginner to intermediate piano lessons for students of all ages. The importance of keeping her studio based on individual family takes a big part into the growth of young musicians. She believes that building a studio centered around each individual family plays an important role in the growth and success of young musicians.

Sewing has also been a lifelong passion of hers, first taught by her mother, a professional seamstress with more than 30 years of experience. Through music and sewing instruction, Mrs. Lacy strives to create a welcoming and encouraging environment where students can grow in creativity, confidence, and skill at their own pace.

When she is not teaching, she enjoys practicing music, sewing, gardening, attending church and community events, and spending time outdoors with family and friends throughout Central Texas.
