Meet the Instructor — Jenni Marie Studios
Mrs. Lacy is the founder of Jenni Marie Studios, a passionate music and creative arts studio based in beautiful Central Texas. Her journey began in 2008 while studying as a flutist in the School of Music program at Temple College. During that time, she began receiving requests to provide flute lessons to friends and family. She traveled to students’ homes, offering a personalized and safe learning environment that helped her build a strong local clientele — unknowingly laying the groundwork for what would become Jenni Marie Studios.
After moving to Austin, TX, she spent six years exploring different career paths. In 2018, she returned to Central Texas with a renewed sense of purpose and once again began building her student base. At the time, she juggled multiple roles — working at a local music school in the public school system, managing a retail store, and providing private lessons. The experience was challenging, but it deepened her commitment to teaching and the power of music education.
That same year, Temple College began offering bachelor’s degrees through a university partnership. As one of the first in her immediate family to pursue higher education, Mrs. Lacy saw this as an opportunity to break generational cycles. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music in May 2022, later working as an elementary school teacher before fully returning to her private studio work in 2024.
Her experiences as a small business owner inspired her to take Jenni Marie Studios even further. In 2024, she began pursuing a Master’s Degree in Business Administration to strengthen her entrepreneurial skills, expand her studio offerings, and grow as a creative professional.
Now solely focused on growing Jenni Marie Studios, Mrs. Lacy continues to teach flute and piano students of all ages. Her dedication has helped many students progress in their musical journeys — with some even going on to pursue careers in music. For her, each lesson is not just a class — it’s a calling, a source of purpose and joy that surpasses any previous role she’s held.
Music Lessons
Music has always been a major part of my life. As a classically trained flutist, I specialize in working with high school students preparing for collegiate music studies or careers in music. I also offer beginner to intermediate piano lessons for students of all ages — from as young as 3 to as seasoned as 88!
At Jenni Mari Studios, my mission is to create a welcoming, motivating, and joyful learning environment where students are encouraged to grow at their own pace and celebrate their progress.
Sewing Lessons
Sewing has also been a lifelong passion of mine, taught by my mother, a professional seamstress with over 30 years of experience. Learning from her gave me a deep appreciation for the art of sewing, and I love passing on that knowledge to others. Whether you're brand new to sewing or looking to expand your skills, I offer patient, practical guidance to help you reach your creative goals — one stitch at a time.
Outside the Studio
When I'm not teaching, I’m usually making music, crafting, or spending time outdoors with family and friends around Central Texas. Creativity and community are at the heart of everything I do.
No matter your background — whether you're just starting out or preparing for your next big step — I would love to help you learn, grow, and create at Jenni Mari Studios. Let’s start your journey together!
