Each lesson is structured around your individual goals, and you can expect a supportive, patient environment where growth happens naturally and confidently. Here's what a typical flute lesson includes:

• Warm-Up and Fundamentals
  We’ll begin each lesson with breathing exercises, tone development, scales, and technique work to build a strong foundation for every flutist.

• Personalized Instruction
  Lessons are tailored to your unique needs — whether it’s improving tone quality, expanding range, mastering articulation, or developing musical phrasing.

• Repertoire Building
  Together, we’ll work on pieces suited to your current level and goals. This may include solo literature, etudes, band music, or region audition pieces.

• Musicianship and Expression
  Beyond just playing the notes, you’ll learn how to interpret music with style, dynamics, and emotion, building artistry as well as technique.

• Performance Preparation
  If you have upcoming auditions, performances, or competitions, lessons can focus on stage presence, confidence-building, and mock performances to prepare you for success.

• Goal Setting and Encouragement
  At the end of each lesson, we’ll set achievable goals for your practice sessions, ensuring steady progress while keeping lessons fun and motivating.

Please note: It is recommended that students under the age of 12 begin with 30-minute lessons per week to maintain focus and build confidence. Students over the age of 12 may progress into full 1-hour lessons based on their readiness and experience.

The High School Flute Preparatory Program at Jenni Marie Studios is designed for early high school flutists who are ready to take their playing to the next level. This specialized program focuses on preparing students for high school band auditions, placement tests, and competitive opportunities.

Students will receive structured, goal-oriented lessons that cover:

• Audition Preparation: Focused coaching on regional music, scales, sight-reading, and etudes.

• Tone and Technique Development: Building a strong, controlled sound with advanced articulation and phrasing skills.

• Performance Readiness: Learning strategies to manage audition nerves and perform with confidence and musicality.

• Musicianship Skills: Improving rhythm, musical interpretation, and attention to style markings.

• Personalized Practice Plans: Weekly assignments and custom strategies to ensure steady progress toward audition goals.

• Live piano accompaniment is provided for students in this program when needed for performances or auditions, unless I am serving as a judge or another accompanist is designated for the event on that day.

Lessons are supportive, challenging, and tailored to each student’s unique needs and goals. Students will leave feeling confident, prepared, and inspired to perform at their best.

Note: It is highly recommended that students enrolling in this program commit to regular weekly lessons and additional guided practice during peak audition seasons.

At Jenni Marie Studios, I offer professional piano accompaniment for a variety of performance settings, specializing in school events and classical ceremonies across Central Texas. With a focus on collaboration and musical excellence, I support both student musicians and community performers through thoughtful, tailored accompaniment.

 For Student Musicians & School Districts

I accompany repertoire up to Grades 2 and 3, ideal for:

• UIL performances

• Solo & Ensemble competitions

• Recitals and concerts

This service is primarily available to schools where I am a contracted district-approved vendor, supporting music directors and students with:

• Scheduled rehearsals before performance day

• On-site accompaniment for competitions and events

• Musical coaching on tempo, musicality, and confidence

• In-person support in the Marlin, Killeen, Temple, Belton, and Waco areas.

 Accompaniment is included for students enrolled in my Flute High School Preparatory Program for applicable competitions and auditions.

Ceremonies & Classical Events:

Whether you’re planning a wedding, church service, or a formal recital, I offer refined piano and flute accompaniment rooted in classical training, with services customized for:

• Church services (worship, special music, ceremonies)

• Weddings (ceremony, prelude/postlude)

• Classical soloists and small ensembles

• Special school or community events

If your school or organization has funding for music services, I am available to work through your district’s procurement system.

Family Mix & Match Lessons

Designed for families in the same household, our Mix & Match option allows you to combine different lesson types — such as piano, flute, and sewing — for multiple students in a single visit. Whether it’s siblings, parent-child combos, or other family groupings, each student receives personalized instruction tailored to their individual level, interest, and learning goals.

This flexible option is perfect for families with diverse creative passions, offering a fun and efficient way to explore both music and sewing under one roof.

Lesson Format Options:

• At-Home Lessons: I come to your home for back-to-back sessions. A $10 monthly travel fee applies for locations outside Marlin, TX (including Killeen, Temple, Belton, and Waco).

• In-Person Lessons: Held at my private studio in Marlin, TX, offering a quiet, resource-equipped setting.

Important Notes:

• All mix-and-match sessions must be held consecutively at the same location.

• Services apply only to members of the same household.

• Rates are consistent regardless of location.
